Bas-relief dedicated to Father Lucio

Father Lucio Maria De Marino, a Benedictine monk, arrived at Goleto on 23 August 1973 (after 166 years of complete abandonment of the abbey complex), and for his work, he is recognized by all as the second founder of the Abbey. Under the entrance archway of the second wall, there is a bronze bas-relief depicting him, created by the Apulian artist Giuseppe Antonio Lomuscio. To the left of the bas-relief is the entrance door to the large ‘Sala dell’Arco’ (Arch Hall), now used for cultural meetings (90 seats). For more information, visit the exhibition dedicated to Father Lucio on the 50th anniversary of his arrival at Goleto.
